A partial tilt splits the difference. Only the rear section of this Rice PTH20 pivots to the ground. The front stays fixed and level, which means you can carry a tall load, a pallet of block, or a bin of mulch on the stationary portion and still drive a machine up the back without touching a ramp. Capacity
Two 7,000 lb cambered EZ Lube axles with electric brakes sit under a 14,000 lb GVWR. Empty weight is 3,680 lbs, leaving 10,320 lbs of payload. A mid-size skid steer with a bucket fits. A loaded mini excavator with a hammer probably does not, so weigh what you actually haul.
Details worth knowing
The 6″ channel runs through the tongue, main frame, and the tilt deck itself rather than stopping at the pivot. Crossmembers are 3″ formed channel under pressure-treated decking. A reverse dovetail with a front bump rail helps line a machine up as it comes over the break and gives the tracks something to stop against. The cam lock holds the deck down for travel, so nothing bangs behind you on a rough road.
Finish is complete powder coat in blue. The wiring harness is fully sealed and modular with LED lights, plus an emergency breakaway kit. An integrated storage box handles chains. Three-inch D-rings and a flatbed spare mount were added at build.
Check the pivot, the cam lock engagement, and brake function before the first haul, and confirm your truck is legally rated for a loaded 14K bumper-pull. This one is new, so there is nothing to recondition.
