2024 Reiser Trailers 6.5×12 7K Landscape Trailer
This is the trailer a two-man lawn crew runs every day. Twelve feet of open deck, six and a half feet wide, a ramp gate at the back, and a 7,000 lb rating behind a half-ton truck. Model L1277-7K. Nothing exotic about it, which is the point.
Payload is 5,100 lbs on a 1,900 lb empty weight. Two zero-turns, a walk-behind, trimmers, blowers, and a load of clippings still leaves room. If you routinely haul a compact tractor, step up to a 14K equipment trailer instead. This deck is sized for mowers.
The ramp gate
The gate is 4 feet and it lifts off completely. That second part gets overlooked. With the gate removed you can load from the side, back a machine on tailgate-style, or slide long material past the rear without fighting a hinged gate. Most landscape trailers make you live with whatever gate the factory hung. This one gives you the choice.
Frame and finish
The frame is 3″x3″ angle with a 2x2x1/8 top rail and a 3″ channel wrap tongue into a 2-5/16″ A-frame coupler. Angle iron is lighter and cheaper than channel and it is the right call at this rating. Do not confuse it with an equipment trailer frame. Two 3,500 lb Dexter EZ Lube axles ride on double-eye springs, both braked, on silver and black mod wheels. A 2,000 lb top-wind jack sits on the tongue.
The deck is pressure-treated wood with stake pocket tie-downs down both sides, so you can strap a mower at four points instead of hunting for a place to hook. Fenders are solid teardrop units with backs, which keeps road spray off the deck. Finish is a 2K polyurethane industrial coating with anticorrosive primer under it. LED lights and a spare mount are included; the spare tire itself is not listed on the build sheet, so ask us and we will confirm what ships with it.
