A steel dump bed hauling wet salt and mulch has a service life. An aluminum one mostly does not. That is the whole argument for this new 2024 Cargo Pro CODP6X12, and for a landscaper or a property owner who moves corrosive material year after year it is a strong one.
The second argument is weight. It comes in at 2,152 lbs empty against a 9,990 lb GVWR, so you have 7,838 lbs of payload in a 6 by 12 bed. Worth saying plainly: you will run out of payload long before you run out of bed. A yard of wet gravel is roughly 3,000 lbs. Two and a half yards is your load, not the six the sides could hold. Load to the axle rating and ignore what the box looks like it can take.
Hoist and bed
A 12V hydraulic pump drives a front hoist system, which lifts from the nose and tips the load out the back. Front hoists are simple and cheap to service. They do need the load distributed toward the rear to dump cleanly, so do not pile everything against the bulkhead. The sides are 24 inches with a 6-inch filler board slot if you need more for light material. The pump lives in a diamond-plate tongue-mount tool box.
Loading
Rear swing-open barn doors plus a ramp kit means this doubles as an equipment hauler. Run a walk-behind or a compact machine up the ramps, strap to the four stainless swivel 6K D-rings, and haul it. The canvas tarp system keeps loose material contained and keeps you legal.

The spec sheet lists two 7K axles carrying an 8K rating, which reads inconsistently to us. Call (712) 356-0109 and we will read the axle tags and the VIN plate to you rather than repeat a number we have not verified. Check hydraulic fluid, tarp travel and battery charge before the first job. Flat $550 freight to the continental US, 30-day returns.
