The buyers are collectors moving more than one car at a time, race teams hauling a car plus a full pit setup, and anyone whose loads run past what a tandem-axle 40-footer will legally carry. Underneath sit three 7,000# spread Dexter torsion axles.
The third axle buys capacity and it settles the ride. It also means more tire scrub in a tight turn and a longer swing when you back into a paddock spot. If most of your miles are interstate, that is a fair trade. If your weekends involve threading fairground gates, look hard at a 40-footer before you sign for this one. You also need a bed-mounted hitch and a truck rated for the combined loaded weight.
Inside and out
The finish is the Black-Out Package over a .040 black screwless exterior. Walls and ceiling are insulated screwless aluminum, which cuts condensation and knocks down road noise on a long run. The floor is black coin. The gooseneck riser is carpeted in grey, and that riser is genuine storage: it is the natural home for tires, jacks and tool bags you do not want sliding around the main deck. Interior height is approximately 7 ft. 5 in., so measure any lifted truck or tall show car before you assume it clears.
Loading happens over the beavertail. The premium escape door has a removable fender, which is what lets a driver actually open the door after parking a car tight to the wall. Four 5,000# D-rings sit recessed so straps lie flush with the floor. The trailer is wired and framed for a future A/C unit, worth having even if you skip the unit now.
