CR stands for compact radius. On the 305E it means the tail overhangs the tracks by only a few inches during rotation, so the machine works close to a wall, a fence line or a parked truck without the operator counting swings. That is the reason this model shows up on so many urban utility crews.
This is a 2014 with 2,950 hours, serial XFA04130. It runs the Cat C2.4 diesel and sits on steel-framed tracks. The cab is enclosed with both air conditioning and heat working, which puts it in a different category from an open canopy machine if you run year round in the Northeast.

The honest read
An eleven year old machine with 2,950 hours has been used and it is priced that way. What you are buying is a Cat drivetrain, a working cab and a bucket and thumb combination that would cost real money to add to a bare machine. What you should check is the undercarriage, the boom and stick pins, and the condition of the auxiliary lines. Ask us for photographs of all three and we will send them before you place an order.
The thumb is the piece that makes a 5 ton machine genuinely useful beyond digging. Handling brush, pulling pipe, setting rock, loading demo debris into a dumpster. Without one you are limited to what a bucket can scoop.
