This is the tilt-bed version, and if you have ever wrestled a pair of steel ramps in the rain you already know why it exists. The deck tilts, manually or electrically, and the car drives on. No ramps to lift, no ramps to store, no ramps to drop on your foot.
9,900 lb GVW, which makes it the lighter of the two Speed Loader sizes. That suits a single car, a race car with a bit of gear, or a project vehicle. If you are regularly moving two cars or a heavy truck, look at the 14,000 lb version instead.
Deck
Steel tread plate with steel drive-over fenders, so the deck is effectively full width where the wheels land. The under tail is taper cut for a minimal approach angle, which is the other half of the low-car problem that the tilt solves. Outrigger extensions are on this one.
Frame
Steel channel frame with 3-inch steel channel crossmembers and a fully wrapped 6-inch steel channel tongue, finished in high gloss powder coat.
Fitted
- Winch plate
- Two toolboxes
- Four D-rings
- Spare tire mount
- Stake pockets with front and rear end board caps
Running gear is spring brake suspension with easy lube hubs, radial tires on 15-inch black steel wheels. Lighting is full DOT compliant LED.
Trade-off worth naming: a tilt deck has a pivot and moving parts that a flat deck does not. Keep the pivot greased and the mechanism clean and it will outlast the tires. Neglect it and it will bind at the worst possible moment.
