The Rumber floor is the headline. Rumber is recycled rubber and plastic pressed into planks. It does not rot, it does not corrode, and it gives horses better footing than bare aluminum. On a 2005 trailer, a floor that cannot rot removes the single most expensive surprise in used horse trailer shopping.
Straight load in a 12-foot box
Two horses, straight load, roughly 12 feet of box with a 2-foot short wall dressing room and a 7-foot long wall. That is short for a two-horse with a dressing room. Good news in a tight barnyard, less good if you were hoping to store a season’s worth of gear up front.
The GVWR deserves a second look
Most two-horse bumper pulls in this class are rated 7,000 pounds. This Sunlite is rated 8,050. Against roughly 2,800 pounds empty, that is over 5,200 pounds of load capacity, so you have genuine headroom for two heavy horses plus water and tack instead of doing arithmetic in the driveway. Confirm your truck’s tow rating and hitch class match the higher number before you load to it.
