2024 N&N Trailers 7×14 14K Galvanized Hydraulic Dump Trailer
A 14,000 lb dump trailer for the contractor or landscaper who moves material every week and is tired of watching a painted bed rust out from the floor seams. Payload is 9,800 lbs against a 4,200 lb empty weight. Weigh your densest material against that number, not the volume of the box.
The gate does two jobs
The rear door is dual-action. Swing it wide and the whole load leaves at once. Latch it at the top and run it as a 2-way spreader gate instead, and you can lay stone or fill in an even band as you creep forward. Crews doing driveways and trench backfill tend to use the spreader setting more than they expected to. A tarp and roller with an aluminum tarp protector keeps the load legal and keeps loose material out of the windshield behind you.
Hoist and frame
Lift comes from a 12-ton three-stage telescopic cylinder. Telescopic hoists reach a steeper dump angle than a scissor setup and shed sticky material better, which is what you want with clay or wet mulch. The frame is 2x6x1/4 rectangular tubing with reinforced spring hangers over two 7,000 lb galvanized axles on slipper springs, both braked. Box sides stand 23 inches inside with crossmembers on 16-inch centers.
Galvanized top to bottom
A dump bed spends its life holding wet material against bare steel, and paint gives up first in the corners and along the floor. Hot-dip galvanizing bonds zinc into the steel instead of sitting on top of it. On this trailer the axles, the 72-inch undermount ramps, and the rims are galvanized as well. If the trailer will live outdoors or see winter salt, this is the version worth the money.

Plan for the tow before you buy. A 14,000 lb bumper-pull needs a brake controller and a truck with enough payload left over for the tongue weight of a loaded box.
