Two upgrades separate this trailer from the standard 8.5 x 24. The axles are a tandem 7,000 lb package rather than the usual 5,200s, and the skin is .080 Polycor rather than plain aluminum sheet.
The axle upgrade is the one that changes what you can carry. Fourteen thousand pounds of axle capacity under a 24 ft box means you can load it properly with equipment rather than filling it with light freight and running out of rating. If you are moving a car plus tools, or a pair of UTVs, or a full contractor kit, this is the specification to look for.
About the Polycor skin
Polycor at .080 is over two and a half times the thickness of standard trailer aluminum. In practice that means a ladder leaning against the side does not leave a dent, a stone off the truck ahead does not crease the panel, and the surface still looks straight after a few seasons. It is heavier and it costs more. On a trailer that will be parked in public and loaded by more than one person, it earns its place. This one is finished in red.

The rear ramp door has spring assist, an integrated flap and a beavertail, so the approach angle is shallow enough for a low car or a mower deck. The D-rings are recessed into the 3/4 in. plywood floor at 5,000 lb each, which is where you want your tie-down force going. Walls are lined in 3/8 in. plywood, so you can screw shelving or an E-track to them without hunting for studs.
Sidewall vents keep condensation down when the trailer sits loaded. Dual dome lights mean you can see the back corner. The V-nose adds storage and cuts drag.
