2024 RawMaxx 7×16 14K Powder Coated Dump Trailer
Steel, heavy, and built to take abuse. This RawMaxx LPX-16-BP14K rides on an 8″ I-beam frame and tongue with crossmembers on 16″ centers, which is more iron than most 14K dumps carry. That shows up in the empty weight: 5,896 lbs. Against a 14,000 lb GVWR it leaves 8,104 lbs of payload.
Be clear-eyed about that number. An aluminum dump of the same size will carry two or three thousand pounds more. What you get in return here is a box that takes a rock dropped from a loader bucket without deforming, and a lower purchase price. If you load with a machine and haul demolition debris, that is the correct trade. If you haul mulch and want maximum cubic yards per trip, aluminum is the better answer.
The sides and the doors
Sides were upgraded to 44 inches. On light material that is the difference between a full load and a half load, because you run out of volume long before you run out of weight. The rear uses barn doors with integrated spreader doors, so you can crack the spreaders and lay gravel down a driveway at a controlled rate, or swing the whole rear open and dump the box clean.
Hoist and ramps
Lift is a scissor with a 620 cylinder. A scissor sits under the bed and pushes from the middle, so it lifts a heavy load higher and more evenly than a front-mount telescopic and is less prone to hanging up with a sticky load. It also raises the deck height slightly, which is worth knowing if you plan to load equipment. Six-foot slide-out ramps pull from under the bed, so the same trailer moves a mini excavator or a compact machine when it is not dumping. A manual tarp kit is fitted.
Also on it: two electric-brake spring axles, 16″ black wheels with a spare tire, an adjustable 2-5/16″ ball coupler with safety chains, a 12,000 lb drop-leg jack, DOT-approved LED lighting, and a three-stage powder coat.
