2024 Mission Trailers 60×12 Aluminum Single Place Crossover
One sled, one trailer, 600 lbs empty. That last figure is the whole argument for an aluminum crossover over a steel enclosed box. A half-ton pickup pulls this without noticing, and so does a midsize SUV. GVWR is 2,200 lbs, leaving 1,600 lbs of payload, which covers a machine, fuel, and a bag of gear with room to spare.
What crossover means here
It is an enclosed trailer with the roof line and door openings sized around a snowmobile rather than around freight. Interior height is 64 inches. The rear opening measures 56 inches wide by 62 tall. The floor is 3/4-inch decking with a full-length slide track and a ski tie-down bar already fitted, so you are not drilling the floor to strap a machine down on day one. A 30×60 canopy over the rear keeps snow off you while the ramp is down.
Getting in and out
The rear ramp is tapered with spring assist. The taper is the part that matters. It flattens the transition where the ramp meets the ground so skis and carbides do not catch on the lip. A radius side access door and a 19×50 front access door let you reach gear without dropping the ramp in a crowded lot. A 12-inch kickplate protects the front wall.

The aluminum shell will not rust, and the torsion axle and wheels are galvanized against the salt that eats everything else on a winter road. The trade is real though. Aluminum dents more easily than steel and body repairs cost more when it happens. Owners who park outside in salt country generally take that deal anyway.
Note that the axle is an idler, so this trailer has no brakes. At 2,200 lbs that is ordinary and legal in most states, but confirm the rule where you register.
