2024 Diamond C 8.5×24 15K Deckover Equipment Trailer
A deckover solves one problem well. It gets rid of the fenders. All 102 inches of this deck stays usable end to end, so a skid steer sits where you put it rather than where the wheel wells allow. GVWR is 14,900 lbs and the trailer weighs 4,390 empty, which leaves 10,510 lbs of payload. That covers a compact tractor with implements, a mid-size skid steer, or a deck stacked with pallets.
The trade-off worth knowing
Running the deck above the tires costs you height. Your load rides higher and the approach angle off the ramps is steeper than on a low-profile equipment trailer. Diamond C answers that with a 48″ dovetail and 72″ flip-knee ramps, which flattens the climb a good deal for low machines. Even so, walk a low-clearance attachment up once before you settle on this style.
Frame and running gear
Main rail is 8″ I-beam at 10 lbs per foot, with 3″ I-beam crossmembers on 16″ centers. Two 7K axles with electric drum brakes ride on 6-leaf slipper springs, which handles broken pavement better than a stiff setup and still stops hard under load. Decking is full Blackwood. Front retractable steps give you a real way up instead of a boot on the rub rail.

Storage got real thought here. Chains, binders and straps live in the tongue box or the underslung toolbox instead of sliding around the deck. One thing to sort out before you buy: check that your truck is legally rated to pull 14,900 lbs gross.
