A clean straight-load Featherlite sized for someone who hauls two horses regularly and does not want to babysit a steel frame. Empty weight is 3,000 lbs against a 7,000 lb GVWR. That leaves 4,000 lbs for horses, tack, hay, and water. Workable for two average-sized horses. Tight if you are hauling two big ones plus a loaded dressing room, so run the numbers on your own animals before you buy.
The aluminum question
Aluminum costs more up front and dents easier than steel. What you get back is corrosion resistance and several hundred pounds of weight savings on a trailer this size, which is the difference between a comfortable tow and a truck working hard all day. Twenty-plus years on, this one is still clean throughout. That is the argument for aluminum in one sentence.
Layout
Two straight-load stalls with mangers. The mangers give each horse a defined feeding spot and buy a little extra room at the front of the stall. A walk-thru door connects the dressing room to the horse area, so you are not walking around the outside in the rain to check on anything. The 4-foot short wall dressing room holds saddles, bridles, and a trunk without feeling like a closet. The trailer is wired for 110v, so you can plug into shore power at a show or campground.

Inside height is 7 feet, roughly 21 hands of clearance. That suits most quarter horses and average-height animals. If you own something over 16.2 hands, measure at the poll with the head up before you decide on this one. Height is the spec buyers regret getting wrong.
