Tapered ramp doors at both ends. That is the feature, and if you have ever tried to turn a sled around inside a 14-foot box you know why it matters. Load from the back, unload out the front, never reverse a machine in a confined space with the track spinning on aluminum.
Aluminum on salted roads
Snowmobile trailers spend their working life on roads that have been salted twice a day since November. Aluminum does not care. At 1,775 pounds dry with a 6,000 lb GVWR, this High Country also gives you 4,225 pounds of payload, which is comfortable room for two or three machines plus fuel, gear and a shovel.
The box
Fourteen feet of box plus a 55-inch V-nose. Interior height is 76 inches, the rear opening is 80 by 72 inches and the front opening is 55.5 by 72. Measure a tall sled with a raised windshield before you commit. Inside there are white interior walls, three dome lights on a wall switch and a roof vent, so the box stays bright and moisture has somewhere to go instead of freezing on the ceiling.
Tie-down and structure
A full-length slide track with four sliding D-rings, so tie-down points move to the machine rather than the machine moving to them. Two 3K torsion braked axles on 15-inch mod wheels. Wall and roof studs on 16-inch centers, floor crossmembers on 24-inch centers, 2×5 subframe tubing, 3/4-inch decking, a 24-inch stoneguard and a 12-inch kickplate.
