2024 Griffin Trailers 7×16 14K Telescopic Dump Trailer
Sixteen feet of dump box on a 14,000 lb chassis, with 9,145 lbs of payload after the trailer’s own 4,855 lbs. The extra two feet over a 7×14 matters more than buyers expect. On a demolition job it is often the difference between one trip and two, and it leaves room to carry a mini excavator up the ramps with box to spare for spoil.
Telescopic hoist, powered both ways
The three-stage telescopic cylinder lifts from the front of the box and reaches a steeper angle than a scissor hoist, so wet soil and mulch slide out instead of packing into the corners. The 12V DC pump drives the bed down as well as up, which you want when closing the gate against a partial load. A deep cycle marine battery feeds it, and the control box sits up front where you can reach it without climbing.
Gate and body
The rear gate is a 2-way combination spreader and barn door. Swing it wide for bulk dumping, or set it to spread material in a band as you pull forward. Walls and floor are 10ga smooth steel on an 80-inch C-channel frame with gussets front and rear. Five 5,000 lb D-rings are welded into the floor, so a machine gets chained to the trailer itself rather than depending on the sides to hold it in place.

Two things worth confirming before you order. Griffin lists this build as tarp-kit ready with brackets fitted rather than tarp included, so ask us if you haul loose material. The build sheet also gives a 2×12 wall extension without stating finished sidewall height or the individual axle rating, and we will get both from the manufacturer rather than guess at them here.
At 14,000 lbs loaded you need a brake controller and a truck with real tongue capacity behind the bumper. Freight is a flat $550 to the continental United States and returns run 30 days. Call (712) 356-0109 or email sales@acornmachinery.com.
