2025 Mission Trailers 7×16 14K Aluminum Hydraulic Dump
Buy this one if you move wet, abrasive material and you are done patching a rusted steel bed. Landscapers hauling mulch and topsoil, small excavating outfits, and acreage owners clearing brush are the buyers here. The body is all aluminum. It will not rust at the floor seams, which is exactly where steel dumps rot out first.
The weight math works in your favor. Dry weight is 2,649 lbs against a 14,000 lb GVWR, so 11,351 lbs is left for payload. A steel 14K dump surrenders several hundred pounds of that to its own frame. The trade-off is honest: aluminum costs more up front and it dents where steel would bend and spring back. Owners who load material every day usually decide the corrosion resistance settles the argument.
How it is built
Two 7,000 lb leaf spring axles carry the load, both braked. The floor is extruded aluminum decking over a 2″x8″ subframe with supports on 16″ centers. A 12V pump feeds the front-mount hoist. Sides stand 17″ tall. The rear uses swing-open barn doors with a 6″ filler board slot, so you can spread a load through a cracked door or open the whole back end for a full dump. Stowable ramps are included, which means a walk-behind or a compact machine can drive up onto the bed instead of riding on a second trailer.
Four recessed 5K D-rings handle tie-downs. The canvas tarp system keeps loose fill off the highway and out of trouble with the DOT. Also on it: 16″ silver mod wheels, smooth aluminum fenders, a 2-5/16″ coupler, an 8K drop leg jack, two safety chains, a diamond plate tongue toolbox, LED marker lights, and red and white DOT tape. Mission covers it with a limited lifetime warranty.
One thing to sort out before you buy is the truck. A loaded 14K bumper-pull needs a properly rated receiver and enough vehicle behind it to stop legally on a grade.
