The ROM 450 is ATC’s finished car hauler, and the reason to spend up to it is what is already bolted to the walls. White overhead and base cabinets come installed. Black coin flooring is down. A 30-amp electrical package and A/C prep are wired in. Most enclosed haulers arrive as an empty aluminum box that you spend two winters outfitting; this one shows up done.
The LifeTrac system is the piece that keeps it flexible. Cabinets, a sofa, wall hooks and helmet racks all attach to track rather than through the wall skin, so you can rearrange the interior for a different car or a different weekend without drilling holes you cannot undo.
Getting the car in
Loading is handled with a beavertail rather than a ramp door. The tail drops the last section of deck toward the ground, cutting the break-over angle so a car with a front lip does not scrape as it transitions. A winch plate up front pulls non-running cars aboard. The 49-inch extended tongue improves the tow balance and buys clearance when you jackknife into a trailer spot.
The Premium Escape Door includes a removable wheel well, which sounds minor until you have parked a car tight against the wall and cannot get a door open. That is the entire point of it.
Numbers that matter
Two 5,200 lb spread Dexter torsion axles give 10,400 lbs of axle capacity, enough for a car plus a toolbox and a spare set of wheels with margin. Interior height is roughly 7 feet, so measure a tall truck or a car on a lift kit before you commit. Four 5,000 lb recessed floor D-rings tie the load down without anything standing proud of the floor to trip over. The .030 white screwless exterior has no fastener heads to leak or streak.
