This is a 24-foot enclosed hauler for one car and the tools that travel with it. ATC builds the ROM line in aluminum, and the 400 sits in the middle of the range: better finished than an entry-level box, without the price of the top trim.
Spread axles
Two 5,200-pound torsion axles, and they are spread rather than mounted close together. Spread axles settle a long trailer down at highway speed and even out tire wear across the pair. The trade-off shows up in a tight paddock or a narrow driveway, where a spread pair scrubs the tires harder coming around a corner than a standard tandem does. For a 24-foot trailer that spends most of its life on the interstate, spread is the right call.
Loading after dark
The rear wing carries LED loading lights. That is a feature nobody values until they are backing a low car up a ramp at ten at night holding a flashlight in their teeth. The premium escape door has a removable wheel well, so the door still opens with a car parked tight against it. Anyone who has had to climb out over a ramp door understands why that is worth something.
Inside
Aluminum walls and ceiling bounce light around the bay instead of swallowing it. Black coin flooring hides stains and hoses out. White straight overhead and base cabinets keep tools off the deck, four recessed D-rings anchor the load properly, and a 30-amp electrical package with a dome light and wall switch runs the rest. There is an interior spare mount with an aluminum spare already on it.
Measure your car first
Interior height is roughly 7 feet and the exterior is .030 Silverfrost, screwless, on aluminum wheels. Measure your vehicle at its tallest point and compare it against the door opening rather than the interior spec, because the opening is what actually decides whether the car goes in. Structural warranty runs three years.
