Aluminum, seven feet, pre-owned, and left bare. That last part is the whole argument. Bare aluminum does not rust, so a winter of road salt and slush does nothing to it beyond dulling the surface. Riders who spent a few seasons patching a painted steel deck usually end up shopping exactly this.
Weight is the other argument
Every pound the deck weighs is a pound you cannot put on the sleds. Aluminum takes a real bite out of that number against steel. What you give up is price: aluminum decks cost more new and they hold value used, which is why this one sits where it does. Running a half-ton with two machines, the math tends to favor aluminum. Running a one-ton with a single sled, steel is fine and cheaper.
How it sets up
The sliding leg system adjusts the deck to your truck instead of the other way around. The ramp telescopes out for loading and stows back in. A slide track with a ski tie-down anchors the front of the machine so it is not shifting around at highway speed. This unit runs LED lighting, added Quad Ply decking, four extra lights in the headache rack, one set of stop/turn lights and one set of backup lights.

What to check on a used deck
Work the sliding legs and the telescoping ramp through full travel. They should move without a fight. A sticky one is usually grit, occasionally a bent tube. Look at the tie-down track for elongated holes. Then hold the seven-foot length against your bed and be honest about how many machines you run, because seven feet is tight for two full-size sleds and comfortable for one.
