A 14-foot box and 3,300 pounds empty put this 2004 4 Star in a narrow, useful category: a gooseneck light enough that a half-ton truck can pull it honestly. Most two-horse goosenecks push you into a bigger truck. This one does not. It is all aluminum, it has been through our service bay, and it is ready to hook up.
What you get for the size
Box length is 14 feet, with 7 feet of interior height and 6 feet 9 inches of width. Two horses fit on the slant with room left for gear. The front dressing room handles saddles and tack, the rear tack is collapsible, and the saddle tree lifts out when you would rather have open floor. The body is white painted aluminum with extruded sides, and the graphics are fresh.
Air moves through it
Ventilation on this one was thought about. Drop-down windows with screens run the head side. Bus windows run the hip side. Roof vents sit over each stall, and an electric fan mounts on the hip-side wall for the days when the trailer is parked and the air is not moving on its own. Horses that travel cooler unload calmer.

The gooseneck question
A gooseneck puts the pin over the rear axle instead of behind the bumper. It tracks straighter at 65 mph and turns tighter in a crowded show lot. The cost is a bed-mounted hitch and a truck you cannot casually swap out. At 7,000 pounds GVWR loaded, a 1500 series with a proper gooseneck setup handles this trailer without drama. Check your own truck’s ratings before you commit.
Pre-owned trailers go through service before they leave here: brakes inspected and serviced, bearings packed, every interior and exterior light tested, roof seams checked and sealed. Freight is a flat $550 to any address in the continental US. Returns run 30 days.
