The Crossfire answers a narrow question: how much tack storage and airflow can Logan Coach fit into a three-horse gooseneck before it turns into a living-quarters trailer and a living-quarters price. This 2022 is a used unit in white, 17 ft 5 in of floor length, 6 ft 9 in wide, 7 ft tall.
The tack area
The gooseneck is carpeted and carries swing-out saddle racks plus twelve bridle hooks. Swing-out matters more than the hook count does. Fixed racks eat the floor space you need in order to stand up in there and work; these pivot out of the way. Sliding windows in the gooseneck and in the tack-room door move air through a compartment that otherwise goes stale and damp. A folding step handles the climb up, and two interior LED lights mean you are not sorting bridles by phone flashlight.
Stalls and ventilation
Three stalls at 27 inches wide with 96-inch dividers. Twenty-seven is standard width, not generous. Big-bodied horses travel better at 30, so measure yours before you decide this is the right trailer. The dividers are padded and use slam latches, which is genuinely useful when one hand is holding a lead rope. Drop-down windows on the head side and a single air gap on the tail side give cross-flow without opening the whole trailer to weather. Every stall gets a pop-up roof vent, a tie ring and three D-rings for feeder bags.
Gooseneck versus bumper pull
This is the decision most three-horse buyers are actually making. A gooseneck puts pin weight over the truck’s rear axle instead of hanging it off the bumper, and a loaded three-horse gooseneck is far steadier in crosswinds and on grades because of it. The cost is a bed-mounted hitch and a truck rated to carry that pin weight on its rear axle. If you already run the hitch, this is straightforward.
