Three horses, bumper pull, aluminum throughout. This 2013 Cimarron is the kind of trailer people buy after they have already owned a cheap one. The spec sheet runs long, and most of what is on it is equipment you notice on the road rather than in the sales lot.
Start with ventilation, because that is what horses actually care about. Double Plexiglass slats sit on the head wall, the rump wall and the full back gate. Air moves the length of the box on a hot day and the slats close down when the weather turns. Inside there are rubber floor mats, mats on the rump wall and a rubber bumper. Two dome lights over the horses. Load lights over the rear door and on the curbside, for the nighttime loading that happens more often than anybody plans on.
The one thing to think hard about
There is no escape door on this floor plan. If you load from the rear and back out, that will not bother you at all. If you are used to walking a horse in and slipping out the front, this trailer changes how you work, and some handlers will not want to change. Better to know that now than after it lands in your driveway.

The rubber torsion axles carry 5,200 lbs each and ride independently. No leaf springs to sag, no equalizer bushings to wear, and a softer ride over rough ground than a spring axle delivers. The trade is that a torsion axle cannot be rebuilt. When the rubber gives up you replace the whole axle. On a trailer in this condition that bill is a long way out.
A 10,400 lb GVWR is a lot of weight to hang off a ball hitch. Your truck needs the rating, a working brake controller and ideally a weight-distributing setup. On any used aluminum trailer we look at the welds, floor, brakes and coupler before it ships, and we will send you photos of any of it. Dimensions and weights are approximate.
