Most of what goes wrong with a twenty-five-year-old horse trailer is maintenance nobody did. This one has had it done. Brakes inspected and serviced, bearings packed, every interior and exterior light tested, roof seams checked and sealed. It also carries a newer aluminum floor and newer tires, which happen to be the two items buyers most often discover after they have already written the check.
Size and towing
7’2″ tall, 6’7″ wide, 4,070 lbs empty. That is narrow by current standards, since most modern three-horse trailers run a full seven feet wide. Measure your horses before you commit. In exchange it is light, it tows behind less truck, and it goes down a barn lane that a seven-footer will not. Torsion axles smooth the ride and there are electric brakes in all four wheels rather than just the front pair. Couples to a 2-5/16″ ball.
Inside
Ventilation is thorough. Drop-down windows with bars on the head side, bus windows on the butt side and in the rear doors, and a pop-up roof vent over each stall. Three horses generate real heat and this trailer moves air. Rubber mats cover both walls and floor. Feeding bags, three saddle racks, bridle hooks, and a water tank are already fitted, and the rear tack room folds and lifts out when you want the space back. Loading and unloading lights are fitted for evening arrivals.

Buy it for what it is: a light, well-ventilated, freshly serviced three-horse from a builder that did the job properly. Do not buy it if you haul warmbloods. At 6’7″ wide, three abreast is tight for big horses, and we would rather say so now than take the trailer back in thirty days.
