Three-horse gooseneck from Featherlite with a 4-foot dressing room. The gooseneck is the main argument for it. Pin weight rides over the truck’s rear axle, so the trailer follows the truck instead of levering off the back bumper. With three horses aboard and a load that redistributes every time one of them shifts, that stability is not a small thing. You do need a bed hitch and a truck rated to carry the pin.
Airflow
Air actually moves through this one. Drop-down windows on the head side put fresh air on the horses’ faces up front. Slats at the rear pull air through instead of letting it stall in the back of the box. Roof vents give it a third path. Anyone who has opened a trailer after two hours in stop-and-go traffic and been hit by the heat coming out understands why this matters more than most spec-sheet items.
Dressing room
Four feet up front with a clothes rod, which is enough to hang show clothes and keep them out of the hay dust. A three-tier saddle rack and bridle hooks handle the tack. It turns a day trip into a workable overnighter without stepping up to a living-quarters trailer and the weight that comes with one.

Rubber mats over the floor, rubber-lined kick walls above them. Mats take the concussion off legs on a long haul and they keep urine off the floor structure, which is the thing that quietly kills used horse trailers. The kick lining protects the horse and the wall both when someone gets restless at a stoplight.
