A steel deck instead of wood. That is the defining choice on this Hillcrest, and it is worth understanding before you buy.
The deck is 1/8 inch 10-gauge steel tread plate across the full 7 by 20 foot floor. It will not rot, it will not split when a jack stand punches through, and you can weld or cut on it without setting the trailer on fire. It also weighs considerably more than a wood deck, and that weight comes straight out of your payload against the 9,990 lb gross rating. If you haul cars and light equipment, that trade is easy. If you are trying to move something close to the limit, do the arithmetic first.

The 9,990 number
It is not an accident. Rating the trailer at 9,990 lb keeps it just under the 10,000 lb line, which changes registration, licensing and inspection requirements in a number of states. Plenty of buyers choose this trailer for that reason alone. Check what applies where you are registered.
Cambered axles
The two 6,000 lb axles are cambered, meaning they are bowed slightly upward when unloaded. Put weight on them and they flatten out to straight. An uncambered axle under load bows downward, which wears the inside edge of both tires. On a trailer likely to carry heavy loads regularly, that is worth having.
Loading
Five-foot slide-in angle ramps store under the deck, and there is a 2-foot dovetail. The double-broke fenders are removable, which helps when you are loading something wide or working on a vehicle already on the deck.
