What you can put in it
GVWR is 10,400 pounds on twin 5,200-pound axles and 16-inch tires. Against 3,800 empty that leaves 6,600 pounds of capacity. Three horses at 1,100 each is 3,300, so there is genuine room left for hay, water and a loaded dressing room. Check your truck before you check the trailer. A gooseneck this size wants a three-quarter-ton with a bed hitch, and the hitch install is a cost buyers routinely forget to budget for.
Layout
Dressing room up front with a two-foot short wall against a seven-foot long wall. That is enough for saddles, blankets and tack without the trailer growing another two feet of overall length. The rear escape door gives you a way out of the horse compartment that does not involve squeezing past a horse. Inside height is a full seven feet, roughly 21 hands.
Floor
Pressure-treated wood, and it gets criticized more than it deserves. Wood grips better than bare aluminum, it flexes under a horse, and when it finally goes you replace boards for a few hundred dollars instead of condemning the trailer. Pull the mats and sound the boards anyway. On a 2018 they should be solid.
