2024 RawMaxx 5×10 7K Powder Coated Dump Trailer
Small dump trailers get bought for one reason: the big ones will not fit. Ten feet of bed and five feet of width goes down a residential driveway, through a backyard gate on a tight lot, and around a cul-de-sac without a three-point turn. Payload is 4,506 lbs on a 7,000 lb GVWR and a 2,494 lb empty weight. That number goes fast with dense material. Wet sand runs roughly 3,000 lbs per cubic yard, so you will hit the axle rating with the box less than half full. Mulch and brush are the opposite problem, where you run out of volume long before weight. Sides are 19 inches in 12 gauge, which is a modest height for light material. Plan on more trips or step up to a 14K with taller sides.
Dumping and loading
A scissor hoist lifts the bed. Rear barn doors carry integrated spreader doors, so you can crack them open and lay gravel in a strip behind you instead of leaving one pile to move by shovel. Five-foot slide-out channel ramps pull from under the bed and turn the trailer into a hauler for a mower, a pallet jack, or a small machine. Stake pockets and D-rings give you tie-down points along the box.
Chassis
Two 3,500 lb Dexter spring axles with electric brakes ride on 15″ black wheels. The frame and tongue are 5″ channel with 3″ crossmembers on 16″ centers. The coupler is an adjustable 2″ ball, which is the giveaway that this trailer is meant for a half-ton or a mid-size truck rather than a one-ton. A 7,000 lb drop-leg side-wind jack, 1/4″ safety chains, a 7-way plug, and an electric breakaway kit round it out, along with LED lighting, a manual tarp kit, and powder coat over the whole trailer.
