Wheels rather than tracks is the first decision to make. A wheeled skid steer costs less to run, moves faster on hard ground and does not chew up a finished surface when it turns. It also loses traction in mud and soft fill where a tracked loader keeps working. For yard work, concrete, hardstanding and general materials handling, wheels are the right answer, and the S530 on 10-16.5 tires is a solid version of it.
