Seventy-nine hours. That is the whole story on this one. A 2023 Z994R that has effectively not been used, at a used machine price.
The Z994R is John Deere’s diesel commercial zero-turn. Diesel in a mower is a different proposition to gasoline: more torque low down, better fuel burn over a long day, and a service life measured in thousands of hours rather than hundreds. The engine is a 24.7 hp liquid-cooled unit. The fuel tank holds 11.5 gallons, which on most properties means you fill it, mow, and go home.

Why rear discharge matters here
This machine carries the 60-inch rear discharge deck rather than a side discharge. Rear discharge throws clippings down and behind instead of sideways, so you can mow tight against parked cars, headstones, fence lines and walkways without spraying debris where it will cause an argument. Groundscare crews and municipalities pick it for exactly that reason. If you are cutting open acreage and nothing else, side discharge clears heavy growth faster.
Work lights and an amber beacon are already fitted, which is a small thing that saves a fitting bill if you work road verges or commercial sites with a beacon requirement.
