The Hero sits between a bare cargo box and a finished race trailer. You get a 6-inch tube frame, 5,200-pound axles and a proper beavertail, but not cabinets, carpet or a stereo. For a lot of buyers that is the right place to land, because cabinetry is the first thing people rip out when the trailer’s job changes.

Ramp angle

Heavy-duty ramp door with a flap, paired with a 48-inch beavertail. The beavertail is the part that matters. It lowers the last four feet of the deck so the ramp meets the ground shallower, which is what keeps a low front bumper off the asphalt and a mower deck off the ramp edge. Without one, a 24-foot trailer at standard deck height loads at an angle that fights you.

Six inches of extra height

Interior runs about 7 feet with the extra-height option. That clears most trucks, lifted rigs and stacked cargo. Measure a tall load before you buy rather than after, because six inches is the whole margin.
