Twenty-four feet is long for a 7,000 GVW trailer, and that combination tells you exactly what this one is for. Long deck, modest payload. It suits a classic car, a hot rod, a lightweight race car or a pair of side-by-sides. It does not suit a dually pickup or a loaded skid steer, and nobody should pretend otherwise. Check your machine weight against the rating before you order.
Inside that envelope the Hillcrest is well built. The frame is 5 in. channel, brakes are electric on both axles, and the suspension is multi-leaf spring. Two braked axles rather than one is the specification that actually matters at this length, because a 24 ft trailer has enough mass behind the ball to push a half-ton truck around if only the front axle is stopping.

Removable fenders
Take the fenders off and the deck is clear from rail to rail. That is how you load a wide-track car, how you get a door open on a low vehicle once it is on the deck, and how you work on something without climbing over a fender. Put them back on for the road. It is a small feature that people who load cars regularly will not do without.
Slide-in ramps store on the trailer and pull out when needed. Stake pockets run the length of the deck for strap and chain positions.
Multi-leaf springs ride better under a light load than a single-leaf setup, which matters when the load is a car you care about and the road is Route 1 in March. The black and gray powder coat is a proper finish rather than paint, so stone chips do not turn into rust lines.
