Forty feet of deck and 21,000 lb of rating. This is the trailer for hauling two cars, or a car and a tow vehicle, or a race operation that travels with everything it owns.

The frame is 10 in channel with a 3 x 5 in under-frame bridge and structural channel side rails. Three 7,000 lb Dexter axles with electric brakes carry the load. Deck is treated yellow pine with a wrapped tongue and diamond plate fenders, on 3 in channel crossmembers.

Loading

Four-foot dovetail with 7 ft slide-in ramps. Seven-foot ramps on a dovetail give a genuinely shallow approach angle, which is what a lowered car needs and what most 5 ft ramps cannot deliver. Rear support stands are included so the trailer does not rock on the ramps while you drive a car up the back.

Fitted equipment

Dual 10K drop leg jacks, front toolbox, gooseneck coupler for a 2-5/16 in ball, adjustable coupler, radial LR(E) tires, LED lighting package, and an arctic connector with harness. Optional 102 in deck upgrade is on this unit. Finish is charcoal powder coat with black wheels.

Understand what you are towing

Two things to be straight about. First, a 40 ft gooseneck needs a truck to match. Dually, correctly rated hitch, proper brake controller. Second, triple axles do not turn the way tandems do. In a tight yard the middle axle scrubs sideways every time you crank the wheel, and that wears tires faster than highway miles do. It is the price of the third axle and everybody who runs a triple pays it.

If you only ever haul one car, a 22 ft tandem will cost less to buy and less to keep in tires. If you need the length and the capacity, nothing shorter does the job.
