Twenty-one feet of floor length, seven feet of it given over to living quarters. That split is the whole design decision on this 2004 Sundowner: enough short wall for a shower, a toilet, a sink and a fridge, with the remainder left for three horses. Push the living space any larger and you are buying a different trailer with a different truck under it.
The seven-foot short wall
Shower and toilet, sink, electric refrigerator, overhead cabinets. It is a base camp, not an apartment. What it replaces is sleeping in the cab of your truck at the fairgrounds, and anybody who has done that through a three-day show knows exactly what the upgrade is worth.
Three horses, moving air
Drop windows on the head side, slide windows on the tail side. Between the two you can pull air lengthwise through the stalls instead of opening one end and hoping. Padded dividers cut down on rubs and bruises over a long haul. The rear tack collapses, so you get the loading space back when you need to walk a nervous horse in without threading it past a saddle rack. A walk-through door connects the stalls to the living quarters, and a load light covers the after-dark arrivals.

Buying a used living-quarters gooseneck comes down to two inspections most people skip. Run every appliance and every tap while you are standing in it, because plumbing and 12v systems are the expensive failures on a twenty-year-old rig. Then get underneath and look at the floor and the brakes. We will put it up for you.
