Forty-four feet is past the point where a bumper pull is sensible, which is exactly why this ATC ROM 500 is a gooseneck. Put the hitch point over the truck’s rear axle and a long trailer stops levering the back of the truck around on crosswind and camber. At this length, that is not a preference.
