The SVL97-2 is the largest compact track loader Kubota builds, and the number that defines it is the 128.5 in bucket hinge pin height. That is tall enough to dump over the side of a tandem dump truck without a ramp or a pile, which is the job most 75 hp machines cannot do.
Power comes from a Kubota V3800 CRS-TE4 diesel at 96 horsepower. Vertical lift geometry gives 40.7 inches of reach out at height. Traction force is 12,178 lb on Kubota’s own track lug design.
In the seat
The cab is pressurized, which keeps dust and debris out rather than simply keeping weather off. Wide entrance, armrests on both sides, and both a hand/dial throttle and a foot throttle. The dial suits constant-speed work like cold planing, trenching or snow blowing. The pedal suits everything else. Self-levelling is standard, so forks and buckets stay flat as the arms come up. Two-speed travel runs 5.0 mph low and 7.3 mph high.
Service access
The rear hood opens for daily checks. The radiator and oil cooler slide and tilt out for cleaning, and the whole cab tilts 72 degrees without lifting the arms, which gets you to the hydraulic pumps, valves, lines and tank. On a machine that works in dust, radiator access is not a nice-to-have.
Ground clearance is 11.5 inches. KubotaNOW telematics is included for vitals, alerts, geofencing and remote shutdown, and it will feed third-party fleet software.
